Medic Outpost got a fantastic spread in the Houston Chronicle in October. It gave information about our organization and what we are trying to do along with some photos of the "operation". LOL. In other words, the garage where we make the Covid Intubation boxes. One of own board members Andy Mouer helped with the photo shoot and that is his mug next to mine on the page. Please see the link. I cannot mention the Covid boxes without a shout out to our board member David Price. Without David and his generosity and expertise there would be no Covid Boxes.
We are launching a "MEDIC OUTPOST" Christmas gift selection basket this month. You can give the gift of Medical Care to those impoverish people who need it desperately. Donate a neonatal kit, first responder bag, or an infant respiration kit to a rural clinic or community group. It will save lives and we will put your name or your organizations name on the gift. Please consider giving one of these unique life-saving gifts for Christmas this year.
Our corporate sponsorship program is finished and NOW WE NEED HELP FINDING BUSINESSES, CHURCHES, AND INDIVIDUAL SPONSORS. If your company, church or any individual would like to be involved with a small monthly donation we would appreciate the assistance. Sponsors will receive some nice benefits for their support in addition to helping rural communities. Please contact me if you would like to participate or know an organization that would like to get involved. THIS PROGRAM IS VERY IMPORTANT TO OUR SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE. Please help us identify organizations, churches and individuals who would be willing to make a long-term pledge of support.
Team Medic Outpost just returned from a training session on neonatal resuscitation in the Mexican State of Chiapas. Chiapas is the most Southern state in Mexico and has the highest infant mortality rate in Mexico. Two communities and over 30 doctors and nurses were trained and provided emergency equipment.
We did it. Medic Outpost is now a registered nonprofit in Mexico. Medic Outpost Mexico A.C. is up and running. This allows Mexican organizations and citizens to contribute to the charity and receive tax benefits for their donations. Our goal was to make that happen by the end of the year and it got done.
2021 planning is already underway and our big picture plans are to develop and purchase a functional van type vehicle to make into a mobile training center for first responders. Our goal is to bring our training programs to first responders that do not have the funds or the time to get to essential training programs. We will come to them. Please keep this program in mind and if you know anyone who might be willing to donate or lease a such a vehicle to us, please let me know. times are tough but this would make a huge difference for our rural first responders in Texas.
