The Depression Awareness Program for 200 Children has made encouraging progress toward implementation, with project planning, stakeholder engagement, and beneficiary identification activities already initiated. However, the project is currently experiencing a funding gap, as the full project budget of $3,000 remains outstanding. To date, no donations have been received, leaving 100% of the required funding yet to be secured.
Despite the financial challenge, preparatory efforts have continued to ensure the project can commence immediately once funding is available. Partnerships with local schools and community stakeholders have been explored, and preliminary arrangements for teacher training, art therapy sessions, and peer support club establishment have been outlined. The project team remains committed to reaching 200 conflict-affected children with critical mental health support.
Additional financial support is urgently needed to enable the procurement of therapy materials, training resources, facilitation costs, and monitoring activities. Securing the remaining $3,000 will allow the project to move from the planning stage into full implementation, providing vulnerable children with the emotional support, coping skills, and safe spaces they need to heal from the psychological impact of conflict.
