Every year since 2010, Great Country has been participating in Pohoda festival, taking place in Trencin Airport.
Thanks to your donations, we are able to go there again this year to show the people how we are helping different communities throughout Slovakia. Our aim during this festival is to make the crowd aware of the great job carried out by good Slovak NGOs, to get more advocates for this cause.
Thanks to your generosity, this year we chose to try an innovative way to broadcast our projects: VR videos. We spent some time making the videos in order to show how much our target populations need to be help. Therefore, thanks to VR glasses, people will be able to put themselves in the shoes of a homeless man, of an elderly woman, or of a disabled girl.
When we shot those videos, we got even more convinced that we still need to work hard to change the life of homeless people, disabled people, and of all people who might face discrimination and difficulties in their life that would not exist in a better life-environment.
Thanks to your donations, we were able to get the equipment to shoot those videos, and to be present them on this very important event.
But we need your help even more, in order to be able to organize more federative events in the future, and raise awareness about Slovakia´s main issues.
We think that we can only make Slovakia a better country for everyone if we raise awareness about what some people are facing, and why it needs to change.
We will keep you updated about our next achievements, as we are always trying to stay dynamic and to create a common space for the different projects we are supporting. We are trying to manage a lot of activities to create a bond between all the components of Slovak civil society.
The more the people will be aware of the tough challenges we are facing, the more they will be willing to help us go through them.
We are counting on you to support us into the big work we are trying to do.
