New projects joined us on Great Country in 2016. New people doing good job in their communities, helping people in need, saving the enviroment and many more.
We are really happy that in such a small country like Slovakia is, there are many good projects with worldwide ambitions.
Thanks to your support, we as a Great Country can continue with our help to these people or NGOs. Thank you again!

I would like to introduce you to some of the new NGOs that joined us on Great Country and also on GlobalGiving under our supervision.

Vceli kRaj: First Pollination Center in Slovakia

Decline of pollinators is a global problem that is recorded in Slovakia as well. The awareness of general public about the importance of pollinators, about the reasons and ways to help pollinators to stop this decline is low. We started to raise awareness about the importance of honey bees and other pollinators through education, experience and adventure at the same time in 2013. At our educational apiary we organize programs for students that can have personal experience with the bees.

Fair-Play Alliance: Watchdogs for politicians

We are a well-known independent civic watchdog keeping a sharp eye on politicians. Corruption and gangsters know no boundaries and using their well-organised global networks they can infect all the world. Give us the power to link various citizen or professional-driven initiatives together to fight corruption more effectively. We will help them to investigate suspicious misconduct cases and try to speak with one strong voice on behalf of the whole community.

Mission of the Young: Hens and seeds for 25 needy families in Slovakia

Our project is aimed at about 25 incomplete families  (mostly young widows with their children) in the Orava region in the north of Slovakia. These families are in social and financial distress because of the death of a loved one. The main goal of the project is to increase their self-sufficiency and decrease their costs of living. We want to support them to take the opportunities they cant reach without our help, like growing vegetables or breeding animal. We also want to help them save money.

You can find these beatiful projects and many more on Great Country. Now they are featured on GG.org also, mainly thanks to your contributions.
Thank you again and welcome in Great Country!
