How to drive positive change in society? In order to contribute to positive change in our country, we drove quite literally!
In December an extraordinary taxicab drove around cold streets of Bratislava. Multiple Slovak celebrities volunteered to be a taxi driver for a few hours to help a good cause. How about you get picked up from Christmas market by your favourite celebrity? Well, that is what happened during our Christmas campaign. The passengers did not have to pay for the ride, but they donated the money to organizations of Great Country.
Passengers' contributions to the "Christmas taxi" were split between 60 organizations, which bring positive change in Slovakia in education, anti-corruption, poverty, community and healthcare. Passengers of the "Christmas taxi" donated total of 754 Euros. What is more, the campaign raised awareness about the mission of Great Country, its projects and organizations, raising more than 35,500 Euros online! These will be used to fight corruption and poverty, improve education and healthcare and support communities in Slovakia.
Not only were we happy to have raised awareness about our mission, but the celebrities enjoyed driving change as well. "It was the best experience! I am grateful that I met so many great people. It was amazing. I am looking forward to next Christmas" said one of the celebrity taxi drivers, actress Tana Pauhofova.
We drive positive change in Slovakia. You charge us up. Thank you!
