At International Action, we are a hands-on organization.  We are in the field working side-by-side with local community leaders to ensure a continued relationship of good will exists between IA and the people of the area.  This friendly and effective relationship has been life changing for both sides while bringing clean water and smiles to many.

We have provided 56 Haitian schools with Albendazole ourselves and work with Planting Peace, Samaritan’s Purse and AmeriCares to provide clinics and hospitals with everyday access to the de-worming medication so we can prevent children from becoming sick with intestinal worms in the future. This past year we treated and protected 150,000 children from intestinal worms.

We teamed up primarilay with Haiti Clinic and Children's Health Ministries (CHM) who we have been working with as in country partners to distribute albendazole deworming pills for the past couple of years.

Haiti Clinic operates two main clinics in Baoica and Cite Soleil, both are staffed with Haitian staff who care for patients during the week.  They conduct as many as 6-9 remote clinic trips to areas without access to care. They return to those areas a minimum of twice a year to provide albendazole in addition to primary care. The clinic tracks the dispensing of albendazole for patients in their medical chart. Many of their patients return for follow up for other health issues by noting their last dose of Ablendaloze on their chart helps to ensure they receive there next pill when its due. The clinic has two deworming days at the clinic per year. The community health agents encourage patients in the nearby communities to visit the clinic for the medication. Education on intestinal parasites is also provided on a regular basis so the community can understand why this medication is so important especially for children.

Haiti Clinic is very thankful of the partnership with International Action and the donation of Albendazole without it they would not be able to help the number of patients we do.

And in turn we are thankful of your donations that enables us to contine our deworming program!
