The Fall Give Back Festival, hosted in partnership between Operation Address The Homeless (OATH) and Take Flight Society, was a powerful testament to community collaboration, dignity, and compassion. Focused on supporting families and individuals facing food insecurity, the event successfully distributed 150 turkeys and 200 bags of nonperishable food items, ensuring community members could prepare a meaningful and nourishing holiday meal.
In addition to food distribution, OATH provided free haircuts, offering guests a renewed sense of confidence and dignity. Multiple resource partners participated, sharing vital information on housing, employment readiness, behavioral health, and family support services—allowing attendees to access both immediate relief and long-term stability tools.
The impact extended beyond the festival itself. On Thanksgiving Day, OATH hosted a full Thanksgiving dinner for unsheltered and homeless clients, providing a warm, nutritious meal and a welcoming space for individuals who might otherwise spend the holiday alone. Many guests expressed deep gratitude for the sense of belonging and care offered during a time that can be especially difficult for those without stable housing or family support. This meal not only met physical needs but also reinforced the connection, dignity, and hope that OATH strives to offer every day.
Together, the Fall Give Back Festival and the Thanksgiving Day dinner served hundreds of community members, strengthened partnerships, and embodied OATH’s mission to walk alongside individuals facing hardship with compassion, respect, and unwavering support. These efforts demonstrated the profound beauty of what happens when a community unites—ensuring that no one is overlooked, and that everyone has the chance to experience warmth, dignity, and joy during the holiday season.
Operation Address The Homeless (OATH) continues to provide essential day-center services that meet the immediate needs of our unsheltered and vulnerable neighbors. Through daily meals, hot showers, and connection to resources, OATH remains a consistent lifeline for individuals experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, and crisis. Our services reflect not only numbers, but the lives touched each month—people seeking stability, dignity, and compassionate support.
Throughout the year, OATH served the following:
January: 364 meals and 52 showers
February: 305 meals and 50 showers
March: 405 meals and 40 showers
April: 300 meals and 52 showers
May: 350 meals and 59 showers
June: 320 meals and 40 showers
July: 269 meals and 32 showers
August: 300 meals and 42 showers
September: 422 meals and 82 showers
October: 452 meals and 87 showers
November: 353 meals and 41 showers
Across these months, OATH consistently provided 3,840 meals and 577 showers, demonstrating the sustained demand for basic needs services within our community. These numbers reflect a diverse demographic of individuals—men, women, seniors, young adults, and people navigating chronic homelessness or sudden financial hardship. Many guests rely on OATH for their only hot meal of the day or their only access to hygiene resources, especially during extreme weather and unstable living conditions.
Our team continues to respond with compassion, consistency, and a commitment to dignity. The year’s data reinforces that OATH’s presence is not only valuable but vital—providing direct support while reducing barriers to long-term stability for the people we serve.
