Increased prices of essentials like food and fuel have impacted us all. The impacts are even more severe for our neighbors who have already been facing food insecurity. In the past several months, we’ve experienced more neighbors seeking food assistance due to these challenges. “We’re seeing even greater food insecurity than during the pandemic,” says Vincent James, President and CEO of Dare to Care.
With prices that seem to be rising every day, some of our neighbors are forced to make impossible choices, such as whether to fill their gas tanks and have viable transportation, or whether to spend their funds on food and other necessities. With school out for the summer, many children are not getting the meals they usually receive during school. That's why Dare to Care is helping distribute free summer meals to kids and increasing our efforts to distribute food to families through our partners and through our grocery distributions.
When we work together, even a small gift can have a large impact. Please consider donating to Dare to Care and helping support seniors, children, families, and individuals stay healthy and thrive.
