Joy Foundation has been working for Education since a decade. During this decade we saw that girls are more likely to drop out of schools as compared to boys. The main concern and the reason for this was that the girls do not have a conveyance or a source of traveling to the schools. This mostly happened with girls in rural areas as girls in urban areas had access to school easily. The rural girls had to travel to cities to their schools and colleges for continuing education beause the villages have only the facility of primary education and the girls will have to travel to cities to persue secondary or higher education. Hence, the result was that girls had to drop out of school and leave their education.
Joy Foundation has taken this initiative to provide the rural girls with bicycle so that they can travel to their educational facility easily and the school drop out rate of girls could decrease. Bicycles make it easier for girls and they can easily cross the barrier to their education. Education should be provided to all the children regardless of their gender and such initiatives should be supported and promoted because the future of the country belongs to the value and equality that we give to the girls and women of our country. This should not only be an initiative of Joy Foundation but others as well to make Pakistan a country that supports and promotes girls education.
