Women's Health Specialists' young leadership has recognized the need for more inviting vaccine information and resources. During the past few months, these young women have created and distributed COVID-19 vaccine information to encourage their rural community to protect themselves and others. There has been a lack of vaccine information and resources in their community. These young women recognized that finding reliable resources and vaccine locations was difficult in their own journeys. They decided it was time to fill this gap in their community.

Young leaders created a strategic plan; they understood the needs and concerns of their community and used that as a resource. They made a project outline to ensure the success of their work. They began to brainstorm friendly ways to communicate the importance of vaccination, especially in rural communities such as their own.

After coming up with their approach, these young women began developing materials. They made personable materials that dispelled misinformation and centered the community. The posters also included their reasons for getting vaccinated. The signs are youthful and vibrant with the faces of the young leaders.

The next part of their plan was to share these posters with their community. They decide to hang up posters in places they like to hang out and congregate at. They also used social media as a tool to share their work with the community. These posters made it easier to access vaccine information and educate the community on concerns they may have. These young women continue to create informative handouts and knowledge to share with their community.

Please enjoy these photos of our last few months of work! Thank you for supporting our work and the leadership of young people in our communities.
