Crowdfunding for our Cambodia Sensory Spaces

Our chair, Andrew, has just returned from a visit to Cambodia where he has been undertaking outreach medical clinics for the last week.

These have been taking place in South West Cambodia - where the majority of our sensory spaces are located in Cambodia. There have been significant changes in the local area since his last visit six months ago - there has been huge urban development and during this visit Andrew learned that a number of children are living on and around construction sites. Transport around the region was extremely difficult during this visit due to the effect the construction vehicles are having on the roads.

The centre in Cambodia where one of our sensory spaces is located has taken the very pragmatic decision to move this into the community - near a railway line community - where a significant number of children live. This will make access easier and will ensure that even more children can benefit from the support the Sensory Space will provide to their development, health and wellbeing. Great move, we say!

Our focus for the remainder of 2019 and early 2020 is to raise sufficient funds to be able to install a further sensory space in another location in Cambodia, and your support is really valuable to help us achieve that aim. We're a long way from our target at the moment, but we are confident that we'll reach it with your amazing support.
