Right now, there are 45 adult students patiently taking turns at a computer. These adult learners are brand new to technology. The students at Mulathankari are on holiday break so we opened classes to non-students. Our teacher is there every day, guiding more and more learners through the basics of using a computer. She has the privilige of watching as the lessons click and they master this new literacy.
With this new skill set, they are less vulnerable. They are able to walk into a bank and interact with a screen. They are confident, dignified and eager to learn more. We are honored to be a part of their learning journey.
With our donors support, we wil connect this lab to the internet beyond the inital 6 months funding we secured. We can keep the knowledge adn skills flowing and the change that comes with it.
