Crisis Relief to People in Myanmar

Sending warm wishes and gratitude to you for your ongoing support.

As we approach the end of the year, I am reflecting on the impact that your generous support has made on girls' leadership.  Despite the complex and challenging dynamics in Myanmar, promoting girls' abilities, building girl-centered networks, and working with girls to expand their opportunities has nevertheless been proven effective.  See our Annual Report for 2022 which provides a look into what girls are experiencing at the moment and how, with help from our structured programs, they are growing and making change in their communities. 

I ask that you pay particular attention to the graphic "How Girl Determined Engages with Girls Throughout Adolescence" which shows how we are responding to what girls are telling us.  We are bringing stability and continuity to our work with girls while adding a variety of options for them across their teen years.

This new way of visualizing our work illuminates the important role we are playing for thousands of girls as other social programs and systems are receding amidst political and armed conflict.  Just one example of this is our initiative on digital skills development for girls which is designed to reduce barriers for girls to use communications technologies to improve their lives and to grow their leadership.
