In August 2025, Lifeline Ukraine received 6,552 requests for help via calls and messages. The most common topics people sought help with were suicidal thoughts and crises, anxiety, PTSD, depression, loss, relationship problems, domestic violence, and loneliness.
During that month, our counselors provided 1,011 consultations, which is only 15.4% of the total number of requests. This means that more than 80% of people who tried to call were left without a response.
The reason was a lack of funding. We worked 16 hours a day:
- 12 paid hours thanks to the support of the LifeLine Foundation, the Rozumiyu platform, and GlobalGiving donors;
- our counselors worked another 4 hours on a volunteer basis.
As of September 2025, the demand for support far exceeds our resources. Every donation of $11 translates into an additional hour of support. Every hour is a chance to save a life.
We are sincerely grateful to every donor and partner, because it is your support that directly translates into hours of work by our consultants and, therefore, into lives saved.
Every donation means one more call that we will be able to answer.
Thank you for joining us in supporting Ukrainians in the darkest moments of their lives.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
