Hello,
Since our last report on the design project for dream seminar/drömseminarium, Costume Designer Tove Berglund has completed some preliminary sketches. Two of them are attached to this report.
Tove describes her ideas for the costume this way: "The cast starts in a clean and classic look with the players in black like a conventional concert setting. As the piece develops more and more parts of plants and or materials from nature are added to the base costume. By the end of the piece, these natural elements will completely cover the players look. I would like the performers to gradually add the natural elements to their costumes themselves throughout the performance. The green vegetation would spread from Kathleen as a vegetation diva to Michael as a normal man without extravagance."
Well, we love this idea and it certainly is a unique way of illustrating the ideas and images in Tranströmer's poetry. I can't wait to see them fully realized.
Now that this segment of the design process is coming to its conclusion, we will move into the construction phase.Fpr helping us fund this part of the project we thank you.
For the construction phase we need your continued support. Please consider an addtional donation to help us reach the current goal of $25,000.00 and make the premiere in 2016 at the Gateway Theatre in Bellport a reality.
Thank you for your continued support.
