Executive Summary
This report provides an overview of the funding status of "Create Safe Online Spaces for 50 Women at Risk' project. Despite concerted efforts and outreach, the project has not received any donations as of today, being the 29th of December 2023.
Project Overview
This project aims to create safety resources and support for women at risk - displaced women, rape and trauma victims, gender-based violence victims, and single women with children as well as build the capacity of educators teaching online safety for women.
The project was initiatied in August 2023, and since then, our team has actively pursued funding opportunities to support the implementation.
Fundraising Activities
Various fundraising activities were undertaken, including:
1. Online Campaigns: We utilized social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to reach a broad audience.
2. Grants: Applied for some international grants to secure financial support.
3. Community Engagement: Organized awareness campaigns to engage the local community.
Challenges
Despite our best efforts, several challenges hindered our fundraising endeavours:
1. Limited Visibility: Difficulty in gaining visibility among potential donors.
2. Unfavourable Economic Conditions: Unfavourable economic conditions affecting individual and corporate willingness to contribute.
3. Competing Priorities: Intense competition with other charitable causes.
Next Steps:
1. Enhancing our storytelling to captivate hearts and minds.
2. Explore alternative fundraising channels and partnerships.
3. Strengthening relationships with exisiting stakeholders and seeking their support.
Conclusion
While the project has not received any donations to date, the team remains committed to its objectives.By adapting strategies and maintianing resilience, we aim to secure the necessary funding to propel 'Create Safe Online Spaces for 50 Women at Risk' project towards successful realization.
