Flames of Giving is proud and honored that you have chosen to partner with us to help those in our community who struggle everyday with challenges of living with safety, cleanliness, dignity and hope.
Our flagship program wrapped up it's 29th season of GIVING and we granted holiday wishes to those struggling whether they are people with disabilities; the homeless and destitute; the elderly frail and isolated; foster children; teens and adults dealing with mental illness and/or addiction; families struggling with hunger and financial challenges; single moms dealing with domestic violence; teens and young adults from under resourced neighborhoods and people with special needs.
Recently we have been providing items which are basics of everyday living such as new clothing, baby diapers, formula and groceries. We have been helping moms who are struggling financially and have no family support. They love their children but are finding it challenging to provide for them financially and are concerned their children will have to be placed in foster care.
Flames of Giving has been supporting children in foster care and struggling families for 29 years. We continue to provide urgent and immediate care to families so children do not need to enter the foster care system. We do this work in partnership with a life saving organization. Being nimble and with great public generosity, we decided to embrace this collaboration and help.
Recently an organization reached out to us to help them with their unhoused population. We provided bathroom baskets with towels, washcloths and new shower curtains for people living in transitional housing in welfare hotels as well as provided mindfulness kits to those struggling with housing insecurity so they can focus on resilience and healing from trauma.
Thank you for your partnership, your generosity and making this world kinder, more compassionate and a better place to live. We could not do any of this without you!!
