Although, no additional support was gained through the last Little by Little Campaign, ORG Bahamas volunteers continue to identify and disseminate digital materials and information so that parents in marginilized communities across the Bahamas can foster development in their young children through fun day to day interactions.
The current economic challenges have increased the burdens of expense and time on Bahamian families and more children than ever need support to meet their social and communication developmental milestones. The National Play Date program helps to achieve this through providing parents using simple but means tested tools like age appropriate stories and songs trhey can enjoy with their children.
To meet this growing needs, ORG wants to build this program to offer proven resources and tools in easy to use forms to those families with a need and establish long term partnerships with schools, other groups, and the government for sustainability.
Through the 2023 GlobalGiving Campaigns, ORG will be asking for seek support for additional National Play Date training programs for parents and their children. We hope you will continue your support and belief in our program.
