Over the last two and a half years, MECA and our partners provided urgent aid to families in need during the COVID-19 emergency. We expanded our work providing food parcels to families living in poverty in Palestine & Lebanon as unemployment soared due to lockdowns, we funded medical teams to do home visits to people with chronic diseases who couldn't risk visiting local clinics and hospitals for their medical care, we sent a shipment of medical supplies donated by medical students in the US to hospitals in Palestine and sent funds to purchase PPE locally in Gaza, and we distributed hygiene kits with vital health advice about the coronavirus.
The coronavirus pandemic isn't over but our emergency work to address it is finished.
