Happy Children during Workshop

Hi Friends,

Greetings from the Indian Dreams Foundation!

As we mentioned in our previous reports the IDF team is dedicated to spreading awareness of Coronavirus through different modes of activities in schools as well as in communities and we focus on providing sustainable solutions to stay away from germs. We teach children that a simple way to wash their hands for at least twenty seconds will keep them healthy and germs-free.

During the last months, our team conducted nine activity-based hand wash awareness sessions in different schools and communities and reached more than 500 children. We have distributed hygiene kits free of cost to all the children to spread awareness towards healthy hand wash practices.

During the workshops, our team targets school children from age 6 to 14 years and disseminates knowledge on the following topics,

  • Importance of personal hygiene
  • Five Steps Hand Wash
  • Cleanliness at School

After the workshop, school children received hygiene kits containing hand wash soap, washing soap, toothbrush, paste, shampoo etc. All the children were happy to attend the activity-based workshop.

A student of class 4th Raja (name changed) said, “My father caught Covid in 2020. At that time my family didn’t give importance to hand washing but when my father was ill and doctors advised us to stay away from him and wash our hands frequently, we realized the importance of hand wash. Today’s workshop was wonderful that realized everyone the importance of healthy hand wash with soap. My class fellows took interest in the workshop. We’ll follow all the hygienic practices to stay away from germs”.

Thank you for being so supportive!

Regards,

Team IDF
