Bhuriben is a 70 years old woman, she is a widow and lives alone as her children have left her on her own. Bhuriben lives in Rajpardi village which is a completely tribal belt of Bharuch District. Bhuriben is old and cannot do anything now for her livelihood, due to old age she is having constant pains in body and she feels that she will not be able to stay alive for more than few months. After talking to her GVT staff came to know that she is very sad and poor. She struggled a lot in her young days and now she is suffering as her children have left her and also that her husband has died. When she was young she was working as a daily wage worker and her husband was also doing the same. Their condition was worse when they were hit with old age. Gram Vikas trust identified these women and understood that Bhuriben cannot survive without our help. By providing her ration for monthly is helping her to overcome the basic needs of hunger.
Bhuriben says that “Gram, Vikas Trust has come as god in my life, they have saved me from dying of hunger and poverty by giving me this ration kit, I pray that live happy and keep up the good deed of helping others”
After providing those with the kit GVT monitored the Bhuriben closely through volunteers and saw that she is utilizing the kit and is very happy, she is telling her neighbors how we have helped her and rescued her from poverty and distress.
