The Corner Health Center continues to support its patients through the COVID-19 pandemic. As restrictions have been lifted, the Corner's patients need us now more than ever for wellness visits, child immunizations, and visits for chronic health problems that were postponed during the pandemic. The Corner continues its mission to provide safe, affordable, judgement-free health care to some of our most vulnerable citizens.
The Corner has been recognized by several grant-making agencies for its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, the Corner has received over $350,000 in grant funds to support our COVID-19 relief efforts. Some of this grant money will go to support the Corner's effort to provide Covid vaccine clinics to our patients and the general community. The Corner proudly delivered its first patient vaccine for COVID-19 on March 19, 2021. The Corner will work to partner with local agencies to organize vaccine clinics in an effort to broaden awareness of the importance of this vaccine, and increase access for those who wish to be vaccinated.
The Corner continues to provide much-needed mental health support to its patients during this time. The Corner maintained its mental health counseling services through online counseling throughout the pandemic. As the State of Michigan opens up again, the Corner will look forward to once more holding mental health counseling in person.
Support for the Corner will go toward continuing these important programs for members of our community who are the most at risk.
