An abandoned cow was treated for an old Maggot-infested wound:
The life of an abandoned cow is extremely hard. Without proper shelter, nutrition, and care often they collapse. Different pinjrapole (Cow Shelter) organizations in Ahmedabad are doing a fantastic job by giving these cows shelter and lifelong care. We provide treatment to all these cows and give them a new life by collaborating with these organizations. This cow had an injury from a terrible road accident and as it was homeless, the injury turned into a horrifying maggot-infested wound. The vets & vet assistants from jivdaya took extremely good care of the cow. They started injectables and fluid therapy along with some oral medication. Our team also clean the maggot infested wound thoroughly and took every maggot out of it so the maggots cannot thrive on its flesh. After applying medicine on the wound our doctor secure it so the wound does not get infected. After a couple of days follow-up treatment, the cow is on the road to recovery.
