March is the month when Ahmedabad starts warming up for summer. Cows in rural areas do not suffer much for food, shelter, or drinking water but in the urban area, cows suffer tremendously during the hot summer season. Urbanization has taken up all the fields, natural water sources, and trees. An adult cow needs a minimum of 20 to 25 liters of water but hardly you can find any water source. Most of the time they end up drinking gutter water and fall sick severely. March was a busy month for our doctors. We have received 7 cases at our facility and most of them were extremely dehydrated with other injuries or illnesses.
Being a privileged species, this is our duty to take care of these speechless. Come, let us join our hands and make their lives a little easy during this harsh season by providing food, water, and shelter.
