Your generosity fuels our mission to explore and safeguard Colombia's rich biodiversity. Our endeavors have taken us to San Miguel del Tigre, a village nestled at the edge of the San Lucas foothills. This area, marked by its stunning wetlands and fragments of tropical forests, is where we've joined hands with the local community. Together, we're studying the lives of the large mammals that roam these lands, and crafting solutions to promote the coexistence between humans and the natural world.

This region, inhabited by jaguars and pumas, plays a critical role in linking jaguar populations across the region. Yet, an outstanding conservation issue is the conflict between these large felids and the farmers whose livestock they attack. To address this, we've embarked on a project with ten local ranches. We're trialing the effectiveness of innovative deterrent lights—Foxlights—which promise to mitigate the conflicts between these large cats and livestock. This not only aims to protect the farmers' way of life but also ensures the continued presence of these essential predators in our ecosystems.

We've already begun installing Foxlights on properties that have felt the impact of these encounters, closely observing the results. This is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards coexistence in this beautifully complex landscape. Your support makes all the difference. Join us as we continue to make strides in conservation, one step at a time.
