Jaguar registrado en un nuevo sitio muestreado.

This season we finished the first phase of our terrestrial vertebrate surveys in the Serranía de San Lucas. During our latest trip to the region, we conducted camera trapping at three other localities within the Serranía de San Lucas, where we recorded the presence of threatened species such as the Tapir, jaguar, and giant anteater. These data further display the conservation importance of this biodiversity hotspot by suggesting that these species have a wide distribution within the Serranía! Furthermore, these records enhance the resolution of our knowledge about the distribution of wildlife in the area. Currently, we are working towards publishing our results, and plan the next phase of our project. Stay tuned for further announcements.
