Project Report | Aug 10, 2020
Hurricane+Earthquakes+Covid19=Power to Resilience

By Yanira Ocasio | President/CEO

Because of Covid19, a full lockdown was issued at the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020, leaving many people in desperate need of daily assistance. Many have lost their jobs or are unable to work due to being sick and/or quarantined. For this reason, we have worked every day distributing hot meals and food boxes in different communities in the West Coast of the Island. Thanks to your support and to our Partnership to other organizations in Puerto Rico such as Puerto Rico Rises, we were able to feed more than 6,000 people in the past 5 months.

In the midst of all this, we moved from Cabo Rojo to our new location in Aguadilla. We are working to open the doors of our office to the community as soon as possible. Offering different services such as, First Response Assistance and our Small Angels Program.

Some of our team members have been able to go out and meet with people in these areas and hear some of their stories. It has been both heartbreaking and humbling and we are so much more aware of how great the need is and how we are impacting many lives.

For Such a Time as This, would like to thank those who have supported this project, without you we can do nothing. We want to thank God because of His grace and help.As always we  will continue to work and serve the underprivileged areas all over our city.

Love you y'all

-Yani-
