By George Witter | Vice President, Global Outreach, IMCRA
IMCRA is moving closer to its goal of maximizing Community Cyberspace effectiveness by working with U.S. congressional and senatorial leaders in Veterans Affairs
Six months ago IMCRA began discussions with Representative Jim Himes (D-CT, 4th District) on a plan that would make topnotch medical expertise available to servicepeople suffering from or at risk for post-traumatic stress pathologies.
Recently, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and staffers joined in the discussions with the aim of activating existing outreach networks and accessing sources that will enable the program to be maximally efficient.
We have also begun working in collaboration with the nonprofit FEHSF organiztion to bring this program within the reach of local law-enforcement and U.S. citizens in general.
Right now, our primary focus is finding the funding, both government and private, that will enable us to give our faculty a small honoraria for the hours they have spent and will spend providing care, preparing programs and answering queries.
With the impending growth of US involvement in the deteriorating world situation on many fronts our program will be more and more needed by the legions who have come back from some of the worst things humans can offer. Please help us help them and make this program blossom. Even small contributions will add up.
Thank you.
