Dear supporters, we want to share some updates about the development of the project that you helped us to realize.
Finally we went to the Pacific Coast region of Chiapas in February, for the scheduled first aid course, with ten people of a local cooperative dedicated to fishing and tourism.
Most of the participants were women and we have to admit that we had a lot of fun in the hot setting of the workshop and surrounded by the curiosity of children and dogs passing by. The interest in having a basic intervention tool in medical emergencies was very high, because the medical care centers are far from the village where the cooperative is located...so we also returned there in March, to delve into some topics such as taking vital signs.
In april we provided, in San Cristobal de las casas, another two first aid courses with a human rights civil association that works in areas of many conflicts in chiapas and that needs tools to deal with possible accidents during their work in support of local communities.
This month of May we will take a break from the first aid courses, to dedicate ourselves to the other water projects of our association Aguacero and deliver the ready water filters that are just waiting to reach their final destination.
