Over the last 7 years we have seen remarkable growth in some of the community members and their families. Children are graduating high school, getting jobs, and some even continuing on to college. These courageous children are breaking the poverty mindset and proving to be an example to themselves and to others, that it can be done! We couldn’t be more proud.
The pandemic though challenging and hard in so many ways, has also afforded some space to pause and reflect on what has gone well and also refocus for the future. It has been a time to listen again to what the community identifies as most important, and work together to build programming.The staff are also training and taking time to reorganize some of the centers.
We are excited for this next phase of growth and empowered community leadership!
