In rural areas, disability is considered as the result of the sin of the person or the family members; also it is considered as individual difficulties and it is family’s responsibilities to take care of them. Communities do not aware of the rights of people with disability and their responsibility to plan for inclusive development. Generally rehabilitation services are not widely available in our country; caregivers and the community do not aware of the limited rehabilitation facilities available. Added to that generalized poverty and inaccessibility make them difficult to access the services. So in most of the rural places, people with disability living in in –human conditions. Through our Community Based Rehabilitation, we have reached numerous people and still continue to do so. The reason for deactivitation is that we have corporate funding now for this project, this year and hence the crowd funding can be routed to a more needy project!
