Thanks to your otter-ly amazing support, we have an investigator in Vietnam delving deep into the online trade of otters.
Our investigator is conducting systematic surveys of the online trade in otters using methods that we specifically developed, based on our decades of experience in this field. Perhaps unsurprisingly, we have already found numerous Small-clawed Otters for sale illegally – offered for sale to people who fancy them as pets. Our investigator has also detected otter fur products for sale, items like coats and scarves. In case you weren’t aware, otter fur is not shorn from their bodies like wool from a sheep. Otters are killed and their skins removed to make such products.
Thank you for joining us in the effort to end otter trafficking in Vietnam.
