Donor Communication & Report
Combating HIV in Kilifi, Kenya
Dear Donor,
I hope this message finds you well.
On behalf of Asante Aid for Children and Schools in Africa, I am reaching out to share our latest report on the Combating HIV in Kilifi initiative. Kilifi County faces a growing HIV crisis, worsened by poverty, stigma, and lack of awareness. Families continue to suffer out of ignorance, with many unaware of prevention methods or reluctant to seek treatment.
Although we have so far received only USD 1 through GlobalGiving, our commitment to this cause remains unwavering. With your support, we can move from planning to action—bringing awareness, testing, and treatment to vulnerable communities.
Every contribution counts:
We invite you to read the detailed report below and consider joining us in this urgent mission. Together, we can break the cycle of ignorance, stigma, and suffering, and build a healthier future for Kilifi families.
With gratitude and hope,
Nicholas O. Ondiek

Report: Combating HIV in Kilifi, Kenya
Executive Summary
Kilifi County is experiencing a growing HIV crisis, compounded by poverty, limited awareness, and inadequate access to healthcare services. Despite national progress in reducing HIV prevalence, Kilifi remains highly vulnerable due to low literacy levels, stigma, and limited testing and treatment facilities. Families continue to suffer out of ignorance, with many unaware of prevention methods or reluctant to seek treatment.
The Combating HIV in Kilifi initiative seeks to break this cycle through awareness campaigns, community testing, and support for affected families. However, with only USD 1 received so far through GlobalGiving, implementation has not yet begun.
