Urgent Appeal for Support

By Nicholas O. Ondiek | Chief Executive Officer

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The fight against HIV is far from over. In our community, the health situation related to HIV continues to rise, affecting individuals, families, and the future of our young people. Through the Combatting HIV through Knowledge and Action project, we are committed to turning the tide — but we cannot do it alone.

Current Status

So far, we have received no contributions through GlobalGiving for this project. While this is a challenging start, it has not diminished our determination. Our team remains ready to roll out lifesaving activities, including:

  • Community awareness campaigns to dispel myths and reduce stigma.
  • Schoolbased education programs to equip young people with accurate knowledge.
  • HIV testing and counselling outreach in underserved areas.
  • Linkage to care and treatment for those who test positive.

Why Your Support Matters Now

Every day without action means more lives at risk. Your donation — no matter the size — will directly help us:

  • Print and distribute educational materials.
  • Organize community workshops and school sessions.
  • Provide transport and logistics for outreach teams.
  • Support trained counsellors to guide individuals toward testing and treatment.

How You Can Help

  • Donate today to kickstart this vital work.
  • Share our project page with your network to help us reach more potential supporters.
  • Consider a recurring gift to sustain the fight month after month.

Looking Ahead

With your help, we can launch this program immediately and begin saving lives through knowledge, prevention, and action. Our next update will share the first stories from the field — stories of hope, resilience, and change made possible by your generosity.

Together, we can stop the spread of HIV and give our community a healthier future.

With gratitude,
