Summary
During this reporting period, Buhknom Development Foundation (BDF) implemented nutrition-support activities aimed at addressing food insecurity and reducing the risk of malnutrition among vulnerable women in underserved communities.
What We Accomplished
Within this period, BDF reached 100 vulnerable women through the distribution of essential food items and household consumables. Beneficiaries received staple food items and detergents to support household nutrition and hygiene.
This intervention provided immediate relief and helped stabilize food access for women-led households facing economic hardship.
Who Benefited
The project supported 100 vulnerable women, many of whom are primary caregivers and heads of households, living in low-income and food-insecure communities.
Why This Is Important
Providing food and basic supplies to vulnerable women:
Reduces immediate hunger and malnutrition risks
Improves household food security
Supports women’s capacity to care for their families
This work aligns with BDF’s mission to improve health, dignity, and resilience among vulnerable populations.
Challenges
Limited funding affected the scale of outreach and prevented the project from reaching additional beneficiaries during this phase.
Next Steps
Expand nutrition support to more vulnerable women and families
Integrate basic nutrition education into future activities
Strengthen fundraising and partnerships to scale impact
