Thanks to donors like you, Career Girls hosted the first of six virtual camps planned for 2023. From January 18 - 20, Career Girls welcomed girls from the United States, Canada, and worldwide for a 3-day intensive camp focused on Environmental Science.

During the camp, girls learned about interdisciplinary careers that impact climate change decision-making on a state, federal and global level. Campers discovered how women from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) impact climate change laws. They met women delegates from COP27, the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, who negotiated with world leaders on some of the most critical climate change issues. And, they learned how the women from the private sector are leading the charge to move industries away from fossil fuels by developing transformative technology for lithium-ion battery production.

One of the most exciting parts of camp is seeing the impact of our programming in action. For example, one of our goals is to build confidence and self-esteem in girls. After attending the 2023 Environmental Science Virtual Camp, an astounding 95% of girls agreed with the statement, "I believe in myself."

Career Girls will continue to provide our Virtual Camp program free of charge for every girl who wants to attend. Next up, we will welcome campers to our C-Suite Virtual Camp. With your loyal support, we can continue to serve girls worldwide, and close The Imagination Gap. Thank you for your support!

Warm regards,

Linda
