Through your support, we planted 865 Bambusa Vulgaris bamboo seedlings in March 2022. This species is versatile and can thrive on slopes and degraded soils, which is a common phenomenon among our smallholder farming communities. With all the seedlings still alive and we expect them to mature in 2025. It is therefore time to start preparing for those next steps.
The primary objective is to establish a community-centered training hub that will provide training to smallholder farmers on how to add value to the bamboo they have grown. The training will focus on equipping the farmers with skills in making items such as crafts, furniture, and ornaments that they can sell to generate extra income.
As always you will keep on every step of the process. We are counting on you for support!
