A few months ago we launched an initiative to provide families affected by natural disasters the tools they need to survive. Since then, we have received 25 donations totaling $445.00 -- nearly enough to fully fund one complete Family Survival Pack.
Family Survival Packs contain supplies that can aid a family in crisis for up to one year. Disaster Aid USA (DAUSA) provides these survival packs at disaster locations both domestically as well as internationally, which is why these packs must be well-stocked to help a family for at least a year. Unfortunately, not all areas of the world are equipped to restore basic needs for families in a matter of weeks following a natural disaster -- it can often take several months. That is why the contents of the Family Survival Packs are so vital.
Each pack includes a large tent with multiple partitions, a cookstove, pots and pans for cooking, dishes, water jugs, tools for clearing debris, an efficient water filter system, and more. The Sawyer Water Filter, which is included in every pack, can provide a family with 170 gallons of clean water per day. Clean drinking and cooking water is a crucial element for survival.
Your donations help us fulfill the needs of those most affected by disasters. Thank you for helping us save lives all around the world!
With gratitude,
Larry Agee
