Over the past month we have completed testing of the water system including a water quality test and also a system test. The water quality came back excellent and safe for drinking as we had hoped. The water system is working great as well although we did have to fix a few leaky pipes.
Last week we hosted a group from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio who worked alongside our community members to pipe in the running water to our local elementary school for drinking and for use in the new washrooms. We also recently installed water meters and last week the community members dug the final trench so we could install the wire needed to automate the system.
We are very happy to announce that the water is now running and being used community wide! Thanks very much for your support of this project!
