Dear Friends,
Thank you for helping us kick-off our improved cookstove campaign. We greatly appreciate everyone’s generous support on this initiative.
With the funds raised in recent months, we’ve starting preparing for the installation of the 50 improved cookstoves in Candelaria. We are excitedly preparing initial stove parts and printed materials to launch the cookstove project in the community. Above, local stove technician, Bryam Bolaños constructs chimneys for the new improved cookstoves.
In the upcoming months we look forward to working with the community to organize an improved cookstove fair to demonstrate the stoves in the communities. At the community cookstove fair, we will explain the function and benefits of the stoves to the local families, help families select the improved cookstove model that best meets the family’s cooking needs and then begin local stove construction!
