Across rural communities in Uganda, women carry much of the responsibility for preparing meals, yet many families continue to depend on traditional cooking methods that consume large amounts of firewood and produce harmful smoke. The Girl Child Foundation Uganda (GIFU) is seeking donor support to train rural women on clean cookstoves and help communities move toward safer and more sustainable cooking practices.
The training will provide women with practical knowledge on how clean cookstoves work, how to use them safely and efficiently, and how cleaner cooking can reduce household fuel consumption and indoor air pollution. By empowering women with this knowledge, we can help families save resources while creating healthier living environments.
Your continued support can help GIFU take this important training directly to rural communities where the need is greatest. Together, we can empower women, protect families, conserve the environment, and promote cleaner cooking solutions across Uganda.
Support this initiative today and help rural women become champions of clean cooking in their communities.
