The Fundación Iyari Alba Council officially opened the first classroom built of the project on August 17th during our visit to Ciénega de Huaistita.
We talked with the teachers and the students' parents to find out what they liked about their first new classroom and what we can improve in the following ones. We're working on the adjustments of the project taking into consideration what they told us.
Also, during the visit, the firms who decided to make their professional projects pro bono (architectural, structural and MEP) for the Wixarika school made field work too.
The children started classes on August 26th. The Secretary of Public Education assigned to the school two new professors, so each grade has its assigned teacher and the principal can devote himself exclusively to administrative duties.
On september, the school community will receive chairs and desks for the first new classroom.
These has been possible because of the help we've received from all of our donnors! We and, specially, the community from Ciénega de Huaistita are very grateful!
We still have classrooms and other facilities to build in the school! We hope we'll continue receiving your help in order to get the Wixaritari children proper education conditions.

El Consejo de la Fundación Iyari Alba inauguró oficialmente la primera aula construida del proyecto el 17 de agosto durante nuestra visita a Ciénega de Huaistita.
Hablamos con los profesors y los padres de familia de la Escuela para averiguar qué les gustó de su primera aula nueva y qué podemos mejorar en los siguientes. Estamos trabajando en los ajustes del proyecto teniendo en cuenta lo que nos dijeron.
Además, durante la visita, las empresas que decidieron hacer sus proyectos profesionales pro bono (arquitectónico, estructural y de instalaciones) para la escuela Wixarika también hicieron trabajo de campo.
Los niños comenzaron su nuevo ciclo escolar el 26 de agosto. La Secretaría de Educación Pública le asignó a la Escuela dos nuevos profesores, por lo que cada grado tiene propio profesor y el director puede dedicarse exclusivamente a tareas administrativas.
En septiembre, la comunidad escolar recibirá sillas y escritorios para la primera aula construida.
¡Esto ha sido posible gracias a la ayuda que hemos recibido de todos nuestros donantes! ¡Nosotros y, especialmente, la comunidad de Ciénega de Huaistita estamos muy agradecidos!
¡Todavía tenemos salones de clase y otras instalaciones para construir en la escuela! Esperamos que sigamos recibiendo su ayuda para que los niños Wixaritari accedan a condiciones educativas adecuadas.
