Our classroms and library are up and running! The beginning of our school year has been a huge success with two new classrooms and library fully functional. We have been able to furnish both classrooms with chairs desks and whiteboards. Each classroom has air conditioning to make the learning environment comfortable in the tropic climate.
We have been able to set up the library with two computer stations where children can research online and learn to use the technology. The library shelves are beginning to fill with books opening up the world of literature to our students! We have a conference table where children can study or do research and this also doubles as a meeting area for our Board of Directors. Directly off the library are two small administrative offices where I and my Administrative Assistant have been able to finally set up real office space! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Living and working out of corners and sections of classrooms and lunchrooms for the last three years has been challenging at best! We now can claim our own space...:). The huge steps forward we have taken this year has been through the generosity of people like yourself! We cannot thank everyone enough. This year our goal will be to enroll 500 recurring donations of $25.00 each. This will make our school fully sustainable and we will be able to offer free school to those who cannot afford tuition! Please consider this option of giving!
