New York Common Pantry continues to see increased need for our food programs and social services support. New Yorkers who are still recovering from job losses and illness due to the pandemic rely on our help to feed their families. Even as the city reopens, new COVID-19 variants, supply chain issues, and record high inflation contribute to ongoing food insecurity, hunger, poverty and near-poverty.
In FY22, NYCP provided 9,331,484 meals and accessed $6,657,505 in benefits for our guests. Our programs were visited 591,296 times by those seeking assistance. Thanks to our committed supporters, community partners, dedicated staff and volunteers, no one was turned away.
As we look ahead to FY23, we will serve more sites citywide with our Mobile Pantry program, expand the reach of our nutrition education intiatives, and continue to connect our guests with services that enable them to lead healthy, independent lives.
Thank you for being part of our team!
