Friends and Family,
We were just notified that starting at 12:01 a.m. EST on December 10, 2010, GlobalGiving will host a 24 hour matching challenge. Donations up to a maximum of $1,000 (per unique donor) will be matched at 15% until the total grant amount of $3,000 is used up. Only ONLINE donations are matched. Donations received via checks will not be matched.
If you know someone who is interested in donating but has not done so yet, tell them to wait until Friday! Each on-line gift will do double-duty in helping us draw closer to our goal of $4,000 from 50 unique donors by December 22.
Thank you for all the ways you have supported this project. So far, we have $590 that we did not have for the project before! And many people have heard about it and are asking questions, which is a wonderful outcome! Our biggest dream is that Pitcairn will become a place where people can come to learn to live a more stable, wholistic life. Then we hope and pray that this outcome "trickles down" to other distressed areas surrounding us until we are a whole, safe, and healthy area of Allegheny County again.
