By Joel Kihanga | Intern Coordinator-Christmas Gift Program
Dear friends,
Please receive warm greetings from Kenya in East-Africa. We are glad to send you our appreciation for your most valued support as well as send you some updates on Christmas gift program.
Christmas means giving and joy, just as Christ gave his life to all humans and brought a great joy to all those who believes, but as many celebrate and exchange gifts there are several disadvantaged families that have nothing to be happy for, most of these families are orphan headed having lost both or one parent in most cases because of HIV/Aids. Some families though might have both families are badly impoverished. During the Christmas season we traverse our vast neighborhoods giving out Christmas gifts mostly foodstuff. e also organize Christmas treats and parties for the poor kids and take them to places where normally they would only dream about. We just do not stop there but where need be we pray with them and share the joy of Christmas which is in realizing Christ in one’s life. However our program does not discriminate on basis or religion, our gifts are to all needy people, we do not do this to propagate the Christian faith but we do not have apologies for those who may like our actions and want to become Christians.
We are most thankful for your donation that keeps this program going to benefit about 200 very needy households. We kindly ask you to donate to our project which will make 2014 Christmas even merrier.
