Emergency Relief for Flood-Affected Families

By Muhammad Imad Ud Din | Project Leader

Subject: Emergency Relief for Flood-Affected Families in Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan
Aligned with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) & SDG 13 (Climate Action)

In response to the devastating monsoon floods currently affecting Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly District Ghizer, Alkhidmat Foundation’s dedicated volunteers reached Ishkoman Khas to provide timely support to flood-affected families.

Over 100 houses have been damaged due to flash floods, and many agricultural lands have been washed away, causing immense loss to already struggling families. As part of our Emergency Response Program, Alkhidmat distributed tents, tarpaulins, and winter packs to the affected households, offering them immediate shelter and protection from the cold climate of the region.

This initiative aligns with our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 11 & 13, by helping communities build resilience in the face of climate-induced disasters.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all donors and supporters whose generosity makes this life-saving work possible. Together, we are helping restore dignity and hope to the most vulnerable in the remotest regions of Pakistan.
