We would love to fund and complete this project this year in honor of Jose Luis Villalobos (Chocuaco) whose dream it was to connect the two forest islands on his property. His widow, Ana Cecilia, has continued to hold to this dream and we at La Reserva, with your help, can make it become a reality.
This corridor will not only help bird and animal species survive, it will also serve as an example of the positive benefits of reforestation for other families in this community. In addition, this corridor will be a living testimony to the vision one man had of increasing life-preserving forests and to the perseverance of his family in fulfilling his dream. Such an example will not go unnoticed in this small Costa Rican community.
On October 12th Global Giving is once again offering their bonus incentive. There is $100,000 in matching funds, but the percentage matched is based on a graduated scale. The more a you give, the higher the matching percentage and they're matching up to $2,500 per donor! This is a great opportunity to stretch your donation dollars even farther and to help bring about the creation of this biological corridor. Please give now and help this dream become a reality.
