Turning Struggles into triumphs

By Rachael Onyango | Program Administrator

Njokis Childhood was a difficult one. She was rescued at the age of two years, without parents and alone, so the future was unclear. However, in St. Vincent de Paul shelter, she got; a family, hope, love, and support. It was this secure and comforting atmosphere that propelled Njoki through preschool till university.

Through the consistent support and educational prospects which she enjoyed, Njoki thrived in both her academic and personal life. She was able to acquire the most essential competencies to face and conquer the challenges of life. Njoki got a job immediately after graduating university and this presented a turning point in her life.

Njoki is now prepared to face a new chapter in her life by leaving the nest and being a self-sufficient, successful, and self-reliant woman. The fact that she succeeded is a living testimony of your generosity that turned her tale of struggle to an essence of hope and triumph.

We are thankful to all our donors whose kindness made Njokis Life a success. Your love and encouragement keep opening the doors where there were none and making dreams a reality and a long lasting one to Njoki and many children like her. Your donation actually changes lives and we are making the future even better.
