We are excited to report that our Children’s Literacy initiative is firing on all cylinders. We have 504 children across four schools receiving our customised, intimate literacy sessions.
These sessions provide the children, aged 5-9, with the academic foundation in reading, writing & comprehension that they need to succeed in school. Given that many children have 40-50 children in their classroom, our sessions are the only time they receive individual attention.
We are proud to share that we recently launched a new library / literacy centre at Isaac Booi Primary School in Zwide. This is only possible due to the generosity of people like yourselves. While it’s just a pilot project today, we are hoping to host a fundraising soon to be able to grow / expand to include more children there. The school has 950 children attending and we are very excited to be able to provide them with the opportunities they deserve .
A big ‘thank you’ to everyone for your continued generosity. You are the invisible hero’s for these children – providing them with the gift of literacy that will unlock their potential in life.
Our deepest gratitude,
Jim
